Enlarging worlds one step at a time with personal goals in mind

Autism Services

Our Autism Services are focused on daily-living skills for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our specially-trained staff members design skill-building opportunities and meaningful life experiences in supportive environments. We are proud to have the first CARF-accredited Autism program in Minnesota.

Transitions that build independence

The MSS Autism program provides individualized structure, expectations, and a safe place to break away from a daily routine. We create personalized daily schedules that incorporate frequent transitions through activities that offer vocational skills, leisure, sensory breaks, recreation and daily-living skills. The core activities provide a sense of routine without rigidity; elective activities change daily, encouraging flexibility within the safety of our thoughtfully designed spaces. And of course, our sensory room is always available when someone needs a "break in the action."

Autism Services are offered at every MSS location, but our Apple Valley and Brooklyn Park facilities have a more directed focus. For more information, or to schedule a tour and interview, please contact Kevin McCaleb at kmccaleb@mwsservices.org or 952-891-5345.

Success Story: Matt
